To sell cattle at the weekly fat and store sale, contact your preferred Agent to book them into the next sale.
There are three licensed Agents operating at Mareeba Saleyards;

In order to sell cattle, please ensure:
1. Your property is registered for cattle and has been issued with a Property Identification Code (PIC) If unsure, contact your local DPI office.
2. You have the current version of the National Vendor Declaration (NVD) to accompany your livestock. The NVD is part of the "paddock to plate" food safety guarantee. This is a very important document that must accompany your cattle to ensure maximum competition from all buyers. For more information on NVD's click HERE
3. All stock over 100kg (small calf) are branded.
4 Your cattle can be delivered to the Saleyards 24hours a day, 7 days a week, but MUST arrive by 7pm Monday night, to be eligible for sale the next day.
5 Yardings can be viewed from 8am on morning of sale, with the auction and selling commencing at 9am
You're most welcome to come along to the sale and watch your cattle being sold. Remember it is a workplace, so please wear covered in footwear (gumboots in wet weather) and observe all safety signage and warnings at all times while visiting the Saleyards. Children under the age of 16 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
